Set beneath a traditional open-air pavilion and just steps from the white sand, The Beach Bar is the relaxed heart of Sumba Beach House. With ocean-facing tables, lounge seating, bar stools, sun beds, and casual café tables, it’s the perfect place to settle in, feel the sea breeze, and watch the waves roll through while surfers line up out front.
Open from early morning until evening, The Beach Bar welcomes both in-house guests and outside visitors who’d like to enjoy a meal or a drink by the sea. A minimum spend applies. Breakfast is served from 6am, with last dinner orders taken at 9pm. No reservations required. For guests staying with us, breakfast is included in the nightly accommodation rate.
The food style is simple, fresh, and comforting, drawing on both Western favourites and local Sumba flavours. Everything is cooked on site with care, using fresh ingredients. The menu is inclusive and easy-going, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options always available.
